A teenager from Marlborough has raised almost £2,000 for charity by cycling 67 miles.
Thomas Pratchett, 14, attends Silverwood School, a co-educational SEND school in Rowde, and was inspired to raise money for Children in Need after seeing the Rickshaw Challenge come through Malborough.
Thomas' mum, Louise Bradwell was incredibly proud of his achievements and felt the whole community had got behind the challenge.
She said: “I’m absolutely over the moon with him. He’s infectious, he’s so bright and bubbly and he has thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
“People have been stopping to talk to us and he’s had people waving and beeping at him when he’s riding down to the high street so I’m just over the moon.
“Thomas has always loved watching Children in Need on the telly so we were thinking what we could do to get him raising some money.
“He loves his tricycle so we thought we would set him his own little challenge”.
Thomas comfortably surpassed his target of cycling 60 miles to raise £500 by clocking up 67 miles, in and around Marlborough, and raising £1871 in just three weeks.
On average, Thomas rode three miles everyday after school and five miles on weekends.
