Melksham Police have warned people to avoid the Foundry Close area while officers attend an ongoing situation.

The police are currently in attendance at an address in Foundry Close, Melksham after concerns were raised for the welfare of an individual at the property.

Trained officers are providing support at the scene and members of the public have been urged to avoid the area in the meantime.

In a statement Melksham Police said: “Please be aware - we are currently in attendance at an address in Foundry Close Melksham, following concerns for the welfare of a person at the property.

“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area while trained officers provide support during this ongoing situation.

“Thank you for your understanding.”
