Devizes Hockey Club has received new financial backing from a local heating oil supplier.
The club, which is completely volunteer run and dependent on contributions from the local community, has unveiled Vale Oils as their newest shirt sponsors.
The deal sees Vale Oils sponsor the shirts for the entire club, including the men’s, ladies’ and junior teams, and will allow the club to continue offering sessions to both adults and children in the community.
Devizes Hockey chairperson said, Lorna Freemantle, said: “We are delighted to have Vale Oils on board as our new sponsor.
“Hockey is a wonderful team sport which anyone can join in with, plus it is a great way of staying fit, as well as teaching principles of sporting resilience and teamwork at all ages.
“It was clear from our first meeting with Stuart and Adam (Vale Oil owners) that they had the same values as us.
“A really close knit community club and business have come together to mutually support each other and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome.”
Vale Oil co-owner Stuart Barnett added: “Having grown up in Devizes myself, it means a great deal that we can give back to the community.
“Having a completely volunteer run, grassroots, sports club like Devizes Hockey to sponsor was the perfect fit for our business”.
