A Chippenham IT firm has expanded its operations by buying up a Northampton based cybersecurity company.
Bechtle, whose headquarters in the south of the UK is located on Methuen Park in Chippenham, is a German IT company who are expanding into both the UK and the Netherlands.
They have now acquired ACS Systems UK Ltd, which is based in Northampton, with the aim of better supporting customers by bringing the two firms together.
James Napp, managing director for Bechtle UK, hopes the deal will help the company grow.
He said: “ACS has a very experienced and highly capable team and will undoubtedly put us in a position to accelerate our growth and expand our offering for our customers.
“The cultural fit could not be better and we look forward to the opportunity to scale our mutual business together and become one of the top ten IT solutions providers in the UK.”
Co-founder and CEO of ACS Jon Thorpe, who will retain his role, agreed: “Together with Bechtle, we’re well poised to keep growing while ensuring consistent, long-term support for our customers.
“I’m very much looking forward to this new chapter in our company’s history.”
Bechtle has been based in Chippenham since 1999 and currently employs 120 people across their two UK branches, with the other in Manchester.
