A new £11 million health centre is set to open in Devizes this December.
The new facility on Marshall Road, which has been the subject of debate amongst residents, was due to be completed this summer and will finally open its doors to patients later this month.
The health centre will provide the services currently being provided by Wiltshire Health and Care at the Devizes Community Hospital.
Patients can also be referred for same or next day medical care by four local GP surgeries – Lansdowne Surgery, Market Lavington Surgery, St James Surgery and Southbroom Surgery.
It will also take on some outpatient services provided by the Royal United Hospitals Bath and some community mental health services previously provided by Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Services such as blood testing and physiotherapy will be available in the centre.
An open day will take place on Wednesday, December 14, during which Devizes residents will be able to tour the new facility ahead of its opening.
Tours will take place at 1pm and 2pm, however visitors must register in advance.
The new building will be one of a small number of net zero facilities in the country and boasts green technology such as heat pumps and solar panels.
