Popular bakery chain Greggs will be returning to Devizes later this month after a brief closure for refurbishments.
Their store on Market Place has been closed throughout November as it undergoes a full refurbishment.
During this time the nearest branch for Devizes residents to get their pastry fix has been over six miles away in Melksham.
However, while Greggs have yet to confirm an exact date for the branch’s reopening, they have said that the store will be up and running again before December.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “We're excited to be welcoming customers into our new and improved shop on Market Place later this month.
“Returning to usual service, the shop will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, including the newly returned Festive Bake and Vegan Festive Bake.”
The return of Greggs to the town comes shortly after the chain released their festive menu for 2022.
This includes the return of both the festive bake and its vegan version which are available for £1.80, a 20p increase on last year.
Other items that will be on the menu over Christmas include the Christmas lunch soup, the vegan turkey-free and stuffing festive baguette, the mint mocha, the mint hot chocolate and the salted caramel latte.
