Wiltshire has an abundance of picture perfect places countless of home owners have flocked to for a slice of paradise- but where are the best spots to live?

The top places have been picked out by the commercial site which produces lifestyle content, Muddy Stilettos.

The piece shining a light on Wiltshire was written as part of a list of the top 250 places to live in 2023, where the best and the brightest parts of different counties are revealed.

Here are all the places in Wiltshire which made it onto the list:

Trowbridge

The county town of Trowbridge was selected for its up and coming nature, it seems.

The piece noted: “With £16 million being poured into regenerating the town centre and great links to Bath, Bristol and London, this town’s well and truly on the way up.”

Bradford-on-Avon

It's no surprise really that the chocolate box town of Bradford-on-Avon made the cut.

Praised for its fairytale cottages, it's the ideal spot for anyone who loves all things quintessentially English- but it's not just about looks.

There is plenty going on here, the site emphasised, describing it as having  a; "vibrant ethical and cultural community plus a quick route into Bath."

Corsham

Corsham is another place full of delightfully pretty houses that have been marvelled by tourists and residents alike.

Muddy Stillettos pointed out that while the charming village is built from the same pale stone as the historic city of Bath, and is only ten miles away, is significantly cheaper.

Tisbury

The cutesy village and civil parish of Tisbury also made the list.

This unique spot near Salisbury has partly been selected for its growing independent scene.

The ever-so-pretty city of Salisbury was included as well- with the site drawing in on how its majestic exterior meets the modern ways of the 21st century.

You'll never be bored in Salisbury, that's for sure.

Malmesbury

You can't not love Malmesbury.

Muddy Stilettos wrote: "A charming market town with plenty of indie shops, cafes and a fabulous newly refurbished hotel."

Sherston

Lively Corsham was picked out for the "atmosphere all of its own" according to Muddy Stilettos.

The site wrote: "If you’re looking to get stuck into your local community, the village has it all (literally, there’s a club for everything including the Sherston Velo Cycling Club, cricket, football, tennis, drama. It might actually be exhausting to live here!)"

Warminster

The rolling countryside is one of the biggest drawing factors to the iconic town of Warminster, Muddy Stilettos highlighted.

It has Cley Hill, Longleat, Shearwater, Stonehenge and Cranborne Chase AONB all on the doorstep- ready and waiting for visitors and residents to explore.

Devizes

We all know nothing compares to the true character and spirit of Devizes.

It's rare a day goes by without something exciting happening, and this hasn't gone unnoticed.

Muddy Stilettos wrote: "The large central market place hosts an actual market on Thursdays, there’s a Farmer’s Market on the first Saturday of the month and the indoor market hall is a beaut."

Marlborough

It's not the first time Marlborough's bustling streets have been recognised.

The picturesque town is a shopping-enthusiast's dream, so it's no surprise again that this one has made the list.

In March, the town was also marked as being the second-best place to shop in England.
