Alexander Kirk Wilson e-mailed gazetteandherald.co.uk to tell us why he thinks the air ambulance should be saved.
"When I broke my arm hang gliding a couple of years ago on the Pewsey Downs above the Alton Barnes white horse (bit of an idiot and a silly landing) the air ambulance whisked my back to its Devizes base in about 3 minutes flying time.
" I transferred to the next terrestrial ambulance going to GWH. My collection from a fairly inaccessible accident site will have saved lots of paramedic and vehicle time. The air ambulance crew were also professional, jolly and thoroughly wonderful.''
