CHIPPENHAM: A retrospective change of use has been submitted for 9 & 10 Arnhem Cross, Lyneham, Chippenham.
The application seeks to gain retrospective approval for the change of use of two properties numbers 9 & 10 to be used for office purposes and includes the use of the rear car park area as staff and visitor parking and storage compound(s).
Planning documents say the purpose of the change of use is to provide an office for local supply chain administration and management team for the maintenance of the local service family accommodation at MOD Lyneham and "forms a vital service to the local community for proactive and reactive maintenance for MOD accommodation".
The buildings have had no physical alterations externally and internal layouts remain unchanged retainining kitchens and bathrooms/toilets. Existing rooms previously classified as bedrooms, living & dining areas now being used as office space.
MARLBOROUGH: TRESCO House in Ogbourne St Andrew wants to refurbish its roof and exterior walls, to add a ground source heat pump, solar PV and solar thermal panels as well as provision of an electric vehicle charger point.
Tresco House was built in 1848-9 by William Butterfield who had been asked to renovate and rebuild the nearby St Andrews Church in Ogbourne St Andrew. The property retains habitual rights to cross the paddock to the rear in order to reach the church.
There would be no change to the current layout of the site
MELKSHAM: Plans have been submitted to convert a former Court Manager's house in Bowerhill into two flats - as well as retaining a ground floor office.
The property, at 1 Ludlow Hewitt Court, Halifax Road, is currently a three-bedroomed house containing the Court Manager offic, but if these plans are approved, it would be changed to two one-bedroom flats.
One would be on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
The ground floor area will contain the Court Manager's office and this is the administration hub for the landlord's management of the retirement living court.
WESTBURY: PLANS have been submitted to redevelop a commercial unit and some adjacent land in Dilton Marsh.
Mr and Mrs J Bailey-Watts want to demolish an existing office/storage building in order to carry out the plans on land at 7B Stormore, Dilton Marsh.
The proposal is for three detached dwellings arranged around a courtyard. Each dwelling would have four parking spaces of which 50 per cent are within garages, and the remainder spaces are in front of the garages.
The existing building comprises an area currently laid out and used as offices, and an open area behind the roller shutters that is used for warehousing / storage but could also alternatively be used for light industrial / manufacturing use, a small workshop or as a further area of offices.
