Road closures
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Sharcott Drove (Part), Pewsey; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge inspection and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via Sharcott Drove (unaffected length) – A345 – C52 – C261 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 August 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 10pm and 5am for one night.
Coldharbour Lane (Part), Marlborough; from its property known as White Gables for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out installation of pressure management point and associated works. Alternative route via Coldharbour Lane (unaffected length) – St Martins – Blowhorn Street – Laineys Close – Coldharbour Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This will come into operation on August 2 and the closure will be between 8am and 6pm for three days.
Marshfield Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with New Road to its junction with St Paul Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out permanent reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via A420. On August 21, between 9am and 4pm.
Newbury Avenue (Part), Calne; from outside 3 Newbury Avenue to outside 7 Newbury Avenue to enable Wessex Water to rectify a Section 81 defect and associated works. Alternative route via Newbury Avenue (unaffected length)–Honeysuckle Close and vice versa. This will be for two days from August 22.
Springfield Drive (Part), Calne; from its junction with Curzon Street for a distance of approximately 55m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out a section 81 manhole cover replacement. Alternative route via Curzon Street – Greenacres Way – Woodsage Way – Springfield Drive (unaffected length) and vice versa. On August 1 for two days.
