The Duchess of Cornwall has discussed the photoshoot at her Wiltshire mansion in a new ITV documentary.
The shoot was led by the Duchess of Cambridge at Ray Mill House - who was praised by her work by Camilla.
She accepted the commission to shoot the Country Life cover picture, and another portrait of Camilla for the leader page of the magazine to mark its 125th anniversary and also her own milestone birthday.
Camilla said in the documentary: “She did really good pictures and you know she does it very naturally…we had a lot of fun doing it.
“It was very relaxed and of course very kind of the Duchess of Cambridge.
“She’s an extremely good photographer and it was all very casual, there wasn’t much hair and make-up – it was just done in the garden with a lot of laughs.
“It was a lovely way of doing it.”
Amid the Queen’s mobility issues, the Prince of Wales and wife Camilla led the nation at a number of high-profile events during the Platinum Jubilee- giving Camilla new types of responsibilities.
Reflecting on how she has found the changing expectations in the documentary, Camilla said: “There’s always exciting new prospects, there is always something exciting round the next corner you never know what’s going to happen next.”
But she also admitted to feeling nervous about taking a new roles on.
She said: “I think everyone gets nervous before big events, it’s nature isn’t it?
“I take a deep breath and get on with it.”
The Queen said earlier this year that it is her “sincere wish” for Camilla to be known as Queen Consort when Charles becomes king.
The Duchess is also now a member of the Privy Council, the Queen's most senior advisory body and which plays an important part in the accession ceremonies of a new sovereign.
In 2021 it was even announced that Camilla was to be invested into the Order of the Garter.
Viewers get to see different sides to Camilla in the 75-minute documentary, as she is is seen attending official events and mingling with celebrities like comedian Paul O'Grady, visiting their grandmother's former residence informally with her sister Annabel Elliot.
But a more raw picture of her is captured by ITV producers as she is also seen taking her dogs for a walk at Charles' Gloucestershire estate Highgrove, one of the mansions she often resides in.
Camilla’s Country Life will be on tonight (13/07) at 9 pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
