A 47-year-old man from Devizes has been accused of ‘arson with intent to endanger life’ after setting fire to a large recycling bin.
Robert Frontier is accused of setting fire to someone’s bin on June 19 in Devizes.
According to South East Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court, Frontier allegedly intended to "destroy or damage property or being reckless" and intended by the destruction to "endanger the life of another person".
Frontier is due to face trial on July 22 and until then is restricted to a curfew between 8pm and 6am every day, meaning he must stay indoors during these times.
He is currently being electronically monitored and is not allowed to sleep anywhere else during these hours.
The 47-year-old also has to report to Melksham Police Station between 8am and 12pm on Monday to Friday.
South East Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court stated that this is "to prevent interference with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice, whether in relation to the defendant or any other person, to prevent offending".
