Ten Hides Gin, based just outside Devizes at Poulshot Lodge Farm, has been awarded a Silver Medal in the Premium Gin category at the International Spirits Challenge 2022.
The accolade from the ISC is regarded to be the ‘most respected and sought after’ in the drinks industry, due to the stringent nature of the judging process. Ten Hides Gin impressed the expert judges in a rigorous blind tasting process to win the prestigious accolade from the ISC.
Awards organiser Justin Smith said: “Our world-renowned panel of expert judges only award medals to exceptional spirits. To secure a medal is therefore a fantastic achievement.
"The ISC grows every year, with producers entering a diverse mix of spirits from across the globe, and it allows us to reward excellence.”
The founder of Ten Hides Distillery, Andrew Wilson said: “I’m over the moon that we have picked up this international award!
“We are just a little local producer and aren’t even a year old yet!
“Its testament to the commitment of the team and our inspiration, Salisbury Plain and all its rare wild flora and fauna.”
Andrew and the Ten Hides team are now looking to build on this success and will open the distillery to the public this summer once they have completed renovation works at the barn.
