1960s: There are no florescent jackets in sight as road workers get stuck in to resurfacing Maryport Street in Devizes.
The soldier on the right is walking past the Three Crowns pub, which is still open.
In the background are buildings that used to be known as Maryport Chambers. They housed the county court office, the WRVS and the Ministry of Food and Labour.
They were later demolished as part of a pedestrianisation scheme.
