NO OBJECTION was given to a bid to chop down 25 trees near Swindon.
Susan Jenks of Old Coach House, Church End in Purton applied for permission to fell 25 common spruce trees.
The reason given by Mrs Jenks for the bid is excess shade from the trees, lack of amenity and the roots causing problems on paths.

Mrs Jenks also says that these trees and shrubs would be relocated further away from her house – dotted with a mixture of native fruit and ornamental trees.
“At least 15 trees and 15 shrubs will be planted,” she wrote.
“This cannot be started until any trees are felled, as the trees would have to fall away from the house which is where the new trees and shrubs would be planted.”
