Edington: Parts of the B3098 Edington from its junction with Longlands Close to outside of 12 Westbury Road will partially close later this month.
The closure will allow Wessex Water to carry out new connection works in the area.
The following routes have been given as alternatives for motorists: via 33098 (unaffected length), C40, A360, A361, A3S0, Bitfiam Park, B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route for all other vehicles: via B3098 (unaffected length), A360, A361, A350, Bitham Park, B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
The closure will begin on November 27 and will be required for around two days.
Corsham: Two roads in Corsham will close this month for internet cabling works.
Nursery Gardens from its junction with Station road for the entire length of the street will be closed, as well as Hastings Road from where it meets Station Road to South Street.
These closures will allow Gigaclear to carry out excavation works to lay fibre optic caballing in the area.
The Nursery Gardens closure will begin on November 5 and will continue to be inaccessible until November 9.
Hastings Road will be shut from November 8 until November 12, 2021.
Lacock: Notton Lane in Lacock, from its junction with Corsham Road to where it meets with Notton Park have been temporarily closed.
The closure will allow Gigaclear to carry out excavation works to lay cables.
An alternative route has been suggested via Notton Park, A350, Corsham Road and vice versa.
These works started on November 1 and will be required until November 9.
North Bradley: Plans for 32 houses dwellings near Trowbridge have been submitted.
Developer, Atelier 17, has submitted outline plans to build 32 residential units on land to the rear of Woodmarsh in North Bradley.
Trowbridge: A developer has unveiled plans to build nine houses in Trowbridge.
Mrs Pike who owns the land at St Thomas Passage in the county town has put in a bid to build nine houses on the plot.
Chippenham: Part of a Chippenham road will be closed later this month for road works.
Pew Hill from its junction with the B4069 for 75m heading north east will be closed from November 23.
The closure is to allow the council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, patching works, ironwork adjustments and road markings.
No alternative route has been given by Wiltshire Council.
The works, which are expected to take two days, will be the road closed between 7am and 6pm.
Baydon: We NoGo has applied for a premises licence for the Red Lion pub on Ermin Street, Baydon.
If the licence is granted, it will allow the pub to sell alcohol for consumption on site and for regulated entertainment.
Marlborough: Franklyn’s Bistro on 46 Kingsbury Street, Marlborough has applied for an alcohol licence.
If granted, the licence will enable the Franklyn’s to be “Bistro & Private Dining Sale of Alcohol” on Monday and Sunday between 11.00am and 12.00am.
