DEVIZES will soon vote to fill the current vacancy on its town council after the death of a councillor.
Residents of the Devizes south ward will on Thursday, November 25 vote for one of the four candidates to become its new town council representative.
The four candidates in the Devizes by-election are as follows:
- Margaret Green - Green Party
- Maria Hoult - Conservative
- Vincent McNamara - Labour
- Paul Tweedle - Devizes Guardian party
The by-election follows the death of Cllr Ray Parsons earlier this year.

A total of 21 councillors represent four wards in the market town with 10 representing the Devizes Guardian party, eight from the Conservative party, one labour member and one independent councillor.
