Melksham: A road is due to close next month to relieve flooding in the area.
From Monday, November 1, Dunch Lane will be closed to all traffic for up to five days in the interest of public safety.
The closure will allow Wiltshire Council to carry out works to relieve flooding and associated works.
Dunch Lane will be closed from its junction with the A350 to where it meets Northbrook Road.
An alternative route has been proposed via the A350 - A365 - Dunch Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.
A council spokesman said: “The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.”
Bromham: Silver Street Lane, Bromham; from its junction with Chittoe Heath for its entire length will be temporarily closed to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works to lay cable.
No alternative route is available.
This Order will come into operation on November 3, 2021 and the closure will be required for three days.
Coulston: Part of New Road Coulston, Erlestoke and Marston; from its junction with Stokes Marsh to its junction with Plough Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out edge overrun works to stabilise roadside verges and associated works. Alternative route via C245 - B3098 - C40 C254 - C20 - C228 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on November 1, 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 7am and 5pm for five days.
Chippenham: J A Sheppard Transport LTD of 32 Manor Fields, Bratton, Westbury, BA13 4ST is applying for a licence to use Transport Yard George Lane, Marshfield, Chippenham, SN14 8LY as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and three trailers.
Chippenham: CPI Anthony Rowe Ltd of 110 Beddington Lane, Croydon, England, CRO 4TD is applying for a licence to use CPI Antony Rowe Ltd, Bumpers Way, Bumpers Farm, Chippenham, SN14 6LH as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.
Bradford on Avon: David Bush of Change Automotive LTD, The Barn, Kingston Farm, Holt Road has applied for the Variation of a Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to allow For the sale of alcohol on the premises between the hours of noon and midnight Monday to Sunday.
The request also includes provision of regulated entertainment, provision of late night refreshment, qualifying club activities. The live and recorded music in the outside area would be restricted between 10am and 10pm. Any interested parties must contact the council by November 8, 2021.
Corsham: Kettlesmith Bars Ltd has applied to Wiltshire Council for a licence to sell alcohol between the hours of 10am and 11pm Monday to Saturday at their premises at 1 Pickwick Road, Corsham. If successful the bar would also be permitted to sell alcohol on and off premises between noon and 5.30pm on Sunday.
Interested parties have 28 to make a representation to Wiltshire Council over the above application.
