Heddington: Trevor William Skuse, trading as T.W Skuse & Son Transport of 4 Kings Play Cottages, Heddington, Calne is applying to change an existing goods vehicle operators licence to allow for an additional two goods vehicles and trailers to be kept at the company’s operating centre at Eyres Farm, Stockley road, Heddington, Calne.
East Knoyle: Oliver Akers Douglas of The Old Farmhouse in Milton has applied to replace an existing conservatory at the site with a new single-storey extension with alterations made to the property and external spaces.
Kington Langley: Parts of Plough Lane from its junction with the A350 for around 100m heading east will be temporarily closed next month.
This closure will allow Wiltshire Council to carry out street light and traffic signal replacement, road resurfacing, marking and other works.
The road will be closed from October 3 and will remain so until November 5.
An alternative route (Northbound) runs via Plough Lane (unaffected length), Upper Common, Middle Common, Church Road, Lower Common, B4069, B4122, A350 M4 Roundabout Junction 17 and vice versa.
Alternative route (Southbound): via Plough Lane (unaffected length), Upper Common, Middle Common, Church Road, Lower Common, B4069, A420, A350 and vice versa.
Langley Burrell and Kington Langley: Part of the A350 Northbound (Part), Chippenham, Langley Burrell and Kington Langley; from its junction with Golf Course Roundabout to a point 50m north of its junction with Kingston St Michael Road, as well as the A350 Southbound will temporarily become a 50mph zone.
The same is true of the A350 Southbound (Part), Kington Langley; from 800m north of its junction with Plough Lane to a point 400m north of its junction with Plough Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, drainage, traffic signal loop cutting and road markings.
This speed limit restriction will come into operation on October 3 and will be required until November 5.
Maiden Bradley: Charleston Bespoke Homes Ltd of Sturminster Newton has applied for planning permission to demolish existing buildings at the former Sydenhams Yard, Bradley Lane convert former office buildings to create two houses.
The developer has also applied to build eight housings at the site.
Erlestoke: The Chaffinch Pub Company has applied for a premises licence for the George and Dragon at 11 High Street in Erlestoke.
If granted the application will allow the public house to sell alcohol for consumption on and off site seven days per week between the hours of 11am and 11pm.
Melksham: Smart City Ltd, trading as City Dressing of 140 Chittoe, Chippenham has applied for a licence to use TJ Hire, 5 Bradford Road, Melksham as the operating centre for one goods vehicle and one trailer.
Westbury: Westbury Car Auctions Ltd of 2 Slepe Farm Cott, Dorchester Road, Slepe Poole is applying for a licence to use Westbury Car Auctions Ltd. Kingdom Ave, Northacre Industrial Park as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.
