These images from the Gazette and Herald archive come from a time when Chippenham's streets had less traffic.
Ranging from the very early 1960s to the 1990s, they show a bustling Station Hill as new shops opened, a modern Post Office opposite the ancient Yelde Hall and quiet streets with just a few cars parked by the side of the road.
