THE verification process for the Swindon and Wiltshire Police & Crime Commissioner account is now underway.
Counters are verifying the ballots for the re-run of the PCC elections today (August 20).
In May, the PCC elections were shrouded in controversy after the previous Conservative candidate, Jonathan Seed, was disqualified from running due to a historic drink-driving conviction.
The counts today are taking place at the Civic Centre in Trowbridge and the Steam Museum in Swindon.
It is not yet known what time the results will be known.
If one candidate does not get more than 50 per cent of the vote in the first count, however, counting will resume on the second preference.
