Winterbourne Stoke: Notice has been given by Wiltshire Council that as of July 14 the following roads will have a 20mph speed limit introduced: Brook Close, Church Street, New Street and St Peters Close. This new speed limit will affect the complete length of the roads.
Trowbridge: Thomas George Brown, Linda Mary Brown trading as Geo T Brown of Silver Street, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge is applying for a licence to use the address as an operating centre for 12 goods vehicles and 12 trailers and to use Lafarge Cement Works, Westbury as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and 10 trailers.
Calne Without: Stockley Lane East from its junction with C247 to C50 will be temporarily closed to motorists from August 23, 2021. The road will be partly closed to allow for Wiltshire Council to carry out edge overrun works on the roadside verges. The work is expected to take five days to complete and will see the road closed from 7am to 5pm. An alternative route via C247, Quemerford, C50 and vice versa has been advised.
Great Bedwyn: Middle Road, Crofton Lock 61 will be partly closed next month to allow for Network Rail Infrastructure to carry out plain line grinding and other works in the area. The road will be closed from 25m south west to to a point 60m north of the level crossing. No alternative route has been made available. The works are set to begin on Wednesday, August 25 and will last for two nights between the hours of 11pm and 6.30am. Calne: Rudd Road, Calne from its junction with Tench Road to where it meets Salmons Leap will be closed for two days from August 26. This closure will allow Wessex Water to carry out manhole cover replacement works. An alternative route via Salmons Leap, Stickleback Road and Tench Road has been advised.
Tidworth: Wiltshire Council has published notice that as of July 21, 2021 the following roads will become 20mph zones for their complete length: Baker Close, Colling Lane, Connolly Way, Franklin Close, Habberfield, Hedge Lane, Jones Lane, Oatway Road, Pickernell Road, Sawyer Close and Wheatley Close.
Corsham: Creenhill will be temporarily closed to motorists from its junction with Moor Green to allow Gigaclear to carry out laying of cable, building chambers and cabinets. An alternative route has been proposed via Moore Green, Westwells and vice versa. The works will begin on August 23, 2021 and will be closed for five days.
Melksham: Forest Road from its junction with Church Lane to where it meets Craybourne Road will be closed from August 23 until November 7, 2021. The temporary closure will allow Wessex Water to carry out new sewer connection work. An alternative route is proposed northbound by Church Lane, A3102, Forest Road and vice versa.
Corsham: The B3353 will be partially closed from August 23 until September 3, 2021. The road will be closed from its junction with Newlands Road to where it meets Pound Pill to allow for Gigaclear to carry out excavation work to lay fibre optic cabling. An alternative route is suggested via B3353 (unaffected length), A350, A4, B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
West Ashton: Parts of Bratton Road from outside the property known as 31A to 49 Bratton Road will be closed to enable Wessex Water to carry out manhole cover placement and other works. The works will be carried out between 9am and 3pm on August 25 and 26.
Bradford on Avon: Newtown will be partially closed from August 26 for two nights to allow for Openreach to carry out works to access joint boxes to repair cable. The road will be closed from its junction with Conigre Hill to its junction with Wine Street. Alternative routes are advised via Newtown, Masons Lane, Bath Road, Winsley Road, Bradford Road, Turleigh Hill, Turleigh, Belcombe Road and vice versa. The works will take place between 9pm and 6am.
