Chippenham Town Council is looking for a candidate to represent Pewsham after the death of its new councillor.
The notice of vacancy for the Pewsham ward has been published on the Wiltshire Council website, as well as on the Chippenham town hall and on the notice boards within the area.
This is following the death of Richard Bambury, who was re-elected to the Pewsham ward in May but died later the same month.

Residents can request that a new election is held by clicking here and filling out the form provided and emailing it to elections@wiltshire.gov.uk.
If 10 or more requests for the position are received by registered Chippenham voters an election will be held on September 6.
If fewer requests are submitted then the vacancy by co-option “as soon as possible.”
This means the town council will choose someone to fill the vacancy.
