Flames can still be seen coming from the social centre in Bromham - after the fire started this morning.
Two more appliances have just arrived including a water tender from Royal Wootton Bassett.
The aerial platform can still be seen on site.
We are told one of the roofers was treated for burns trying to put the fire out.
Relief fire crews from Marlborough and Westlea were sent this afternoon.
Parish and Wiltshire councillor Jonathon Seed said the fire is "absolutely tragic for the village."
He added: "I am really pleased that Adam (Dempsey) was able to get out. It is tragic that he has lost his home but the village will bounce back.
"The first fire crew deployed was unable to get sufficient water pressure but the village will get through this.
"We will rebuild. I am sure that whatever it takes, Bromham will respond. The village will find a way."
Parish councillors are meeting at St Nicholas Church this evening and the fire is sure to be at the top of their agenda.
