STAFF at the Tesco Metro store in Chippenham have clocked up the miles to raised a massive £503.76 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
They cycled 52 miles on a static bike to raise the funds for the WAA’s ‘Love Your Air Ambulance’ Cycle Challenge.
Sue Andrews, from Tesco, said: “Colleagues managed to clock up an impressive 52 miles while on the bike at the front of the store to add to the crews’ total mileage.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to all our generous customers and colleagues for donating and supporting the Wiltshire Air Ambulance crew in their challenge of riding 654 miles to raise funds for much-needed lifesaving equipment.”
The charity’s helicopter pilots and paramedics have raised £7,200 from the challenge - beating their £5,000 target and cycling more than 1,191 miles by February 14.
