As 2020 draws to a close, here are some of the news highlights from the Gazette and Herald’s area.
Spot some familiar snapshots from news stories in what has a very tough year with many low points, but we hope, for some, as many highs.
In January and even February, there was no clue that 2020 would so quickly snowball into a year where nearly every facet of our lives has changed.
But throughout the trials and tribulations, every hurdle, the people of Wiltshire have managed to turn negatives in positives – or at least as many as are humanly possible.
Whether it be schoolchildren making massive banners to show their love and support for our NHS, residents finding new ways to celebrate VE Day, people being totally selfless for the sake of their family or completing challenges and charity events to raise money, from the pandemic to the Black Lives Matter protests and the looming threat of Brexit, 2020 has been a year we can never forget.
