Chippenham is the busiest train station in Wiltshire, official data reveals.
Figures from the Office of Road and Rail, 1.93m people visited Chippenham train station in 2019/20.
The town was followed closely by Salisbury with 1.9m and Trowbridge, 917,000.
The least used station was Dilton Marsh which saw only 16,616 and Avoncliff where passenger usage was 23,448.
However, across the county, passenger numbers were down by 55,418 on the previous year – a drop of 0.8 per cent.
In Wiltshire there were 14 passenger journeys for every person living in the area in 2019/20 compared to the national rate of 75.
