Devizes MP, Danny Kruger has said he ‘regrets’ that the new coronavirus measures had to be implemented.
In an interview with BBC Radio Wiltshire, Danny Kruger said that he regrets that the new restrictions have been put in place but added that if it were not for them ‘we’re going to be living with this for years’.
He said: “I wish we were not living in this bizarre lockdown state were we’ve got all sorts of civil and peace officials bossing us around and setting fines and we all have to wear these absurd masks and not meet up casually with people.
“I regret it enormously – the decision that’s been made and I support it. We’ve got to go through this awful, weird period for what I hope will only be a few months so we can beat this virus and get back to normal.
“Otherwise we’re going to be living with this for years.”
