A Pewsey picture framing company was chosen to frame the portrait of Captain Sir Tom Moore.
It was unveiled at the National Army Museum in London last week as part of commemorations to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day.
The oil painting of the 100-year-old Army veteran who raised more than £32m for NHS charities was created by artist Alexander Chamberlin.
But it was framed by Philip Elletson of PR Elletson in Pewsey.
"It's an incredible painting," said Philip was was at the unveiling ceremony. "I have framed some pictures for Alex in the past, so he must have remembered me!
"It was a very nice job to do. We put an art nouveau frame around it to represent that Sir Tom was born in the 1920s. And it is gold - as it has to be said he has the midas touch."
Alex Chamberlin said Capt Sir Tom had been "incredibly accommodating" and he was "hugely proud" to have painted it.
