Aircraft of all NATO nations could be overflying Wiltshire next week as part of a national exercise designed to evaluate the organisation's air power.
The exercise, code-named Cold Igloo, is a special evaluation exercise involving United States Air Force air assets in the UK and it will involve multi-national aircraft, according to a statement put out by the RAF Community Relations Office this week.
Observers may see aircraft of other NATO nations taking part, including transports and airborne early warning and control aircraft as well as fast jets.
Parts of the exercise will take place over Wales, the West of England and the West Midlands. Flying will take place by day and night and will include some low-level flying.
But a spokesman said: "However, the time spent by aircraft at low level during these exercises will be the minimum necessary to achieve the training objectives of the exercise and every effort will be made to minimise disturbance."
