WOULD-BE Devizes MP Danny Kruger has dismissed as mischievous a story in the Daily Mail claiming he would give up his seat if he was elected and Boris Johnson lost in Uxbridge.

The paper suggested that Mr Kruger, who is a fellow Old Etonian, and worked for Mr Johnson at 10 Downing Street before the General Election was called would stand aside so Boris could continue as Prime Minister.

But this week Mr Kruger told the Gazette: "Pure mischief from the Mail. Working very hard to win Devizes and confident we'll win Uxbridge and a majority of other seats too."
