A MAN was taken to hospital with minor injuries after he was in collision with a car in Devizes Market Place this morning .
Witnesses said the female motorist of the black Mercedes C200 car stood no chance of avoiding the collision.
The man collided with the driver's side of the front windscreen and he rolled over the side of the car then hit the road.
People waiting for a bus said the man was running across the road when the collision occurred.
One woman said: "He was running across the road and he ran into the side of the car. He was definitely at fault. I feel sorry for the driver, she wasn't going fast."
A man said: "He ran across the road and tried to get in front of the car but hit it. Let's hope he is not injured too much."
A student who comforted the injured man said: "He said it was completely his fault, he was a gracious accident victim. He said he had hurt his leg."
The driver of the Mercedes was shocked and tearful and did want to comment.
The collision happened just before 9am and an ambulance arrived about ten minutes later.
The man was taken to hospital to be checked over.
