Lee Peacock is already eyeing up a lucrative FA Cup run but knows his Town side face a stern test of their credentials at the very first hurdle.
Paul Sturrock's men will travel to League Two Wycombe Wanderers on November 10 for the FA Cup first round, leaving midfielder Peacock with mixed feelings about the draw.
While disappointed to be drawn away, Peacock insists he is glad Town have avoided any real potential banana skin ties at the hands of some of the competition's minnows.
Having played against several non-league opponents in his cup career to date, Peacock admits he is relieved to have avoided the romance of the cup'.
He said: "It certainly isn't an easy draw but personally I prefer playing teams who are in or aound you because you know where you are with them.
"No disrespect to the non league sides in the competition but it can be an absolute nightmare playing against some of them, sometimes on a horrible pitch and in a lose-lose scenario."
