Tributes have been paid to Amy Pottinger, the 15-year-old schoolgirl from Chirton, near Devizes, who died after a brave battle with leukaemia.
Amy, a pupil at Lavington School, died peacefully at home on Monday after fighting her illness for a year.
Her parents, Debby and Andrew, have asked mourners at Amy's funeral, due to take place at St John the Baptist Church in Chirton this Saturday at 11am, to wear pink items of clothing and carry a pink balloon.
No-one from the family felt able to make any comment at the time of going to press.
The community in Urchfont, where Amy grew up, was shattered by the news of her death.
A former neighbour, Janet Davies, said: "I honestly thought she was going to make it. This is terrible news. I can't imagine what Amy's parents are going through at the moment."
Lyndsay Cowen, a former chairman of governors at Urchfont Primary School, where Amy spent her junior years, said Amy had been a delightful pupil.
She said: "I remember Amy as petite and pretty. She and her brothers were well brought up and very polite. She used to be very protective of her younger brother, Tom."
The Bebo website was full of tributes from friends of Amy.
Tash wrote: "You are an amazing friend. You helped me in so many ways. But even though you are gone I still remember you today."
Ruby wrote: "You will be missed so much, not just by me but by the people who you made happy and feel special. I'm going to miss that beautiful smile of yours."
Stephanie Marie Davies wrote: "The night before the angels took you, me and your mummy was talking about me and you going to feed the horses and have some fun and it got me in a good mood.
"You brought so much to my life, Amy."
Danie wrote: "We'll all be praying for you down here and one day we can have another shopping trip up there with you. God now has the sweetest angel with him in heaven."
Susie wrote: "You always had such a big smile on your face, a smile that everybody who knew you will never forget."
Amy's family was looked after by the Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood charity CLIC. There will be a collection in aid of CLIC at the funeral. Donations can also be made through funeral director John Stuart.
