Friends of Bob and Deb Fry have described them as perfect neighbours.

Next-door neighbour Fiona Shaw, who had been looking after the family's cat and goldfish while they had been holidaying with friends in the Algarve, said the couple were "two of the friendliest people" in the close-knit community.

Ms Shaw said: "They had two lovely children, George and Rosie.

"George was still at primary school while Rosie had just started secondary school.

"The family were really well settled in the area and had been living here for at least five years.

"I believe they had gone to Portugal with friends from just up the road. It is just devastating news."

She added: "Bob and Deb were just a hard-working couple who did the best for their children.

"They were great. Bob was just a big smile, always friendly and willing to have a chat.

"They had recently built an extension at the home. You could tell it was a really happy place for them.

It would be fair to say they were the perfect neighbours."
