The jury in the case of a Sardinian man on trial for the murder of his wife's lover are due to continue their deliberations this morning.
Francesco Matta, 56, a postal worker from Cagliari, has pleaded not guilty at Exeter Crown Court to murdering Flight Lieutenant Stephen Keen, 54, of RAF Lyneham, on July 6 last year.
The nine women and three men began considering the evidence on Thursday.
The court has heard that Matta's 53 year-old wife Susan left him for married Mr Keen after making contact with him from Sardinia via Friends Reunited - more than 30 years after their teenage romance ended.
Matta allegedly travelled to the UK and went to the house in Tiverton, Devon, where his wife and Mr Keen had begun living together. There he allegedly stabbed Mr Keen four times in the neck and throat.
The case continues.
