Sherston Arts Festival's ten days of events and exhibitions has been hailed a great success.
Villagers, as well as people from further afield, enjoyed work by local artists.
The festival has been held sporadically since it began in the late 1980s.
It was run twice in the 1990s, but not again until two years ago. Organisers now hope to make it a biennial fixture.
Chairman Heather Martin was delighted with the programme. "The general feeling is that it went really well," she said.
"The classical concert on Saturday with the Emerald Ensemble, who are based in Bristol, was really excellent.
"The new scarecrow trail was fantastic and brought a lot of people into the village.
Nearly 200 pictures were on display in Holy Cross Church.
"Everybody said the church looked absolutely amazing. Since the last festival, we have had a new lighting system, so it looks brighter," said Mrs Martin.
"The flower displays, which were on the theme of music, looked brilliant and we had everything from Rock Around the Clock, to Swan Lake and Queen."
The festival focussed parts, including a concert, towards youngsters and hopes to expand this section in future.
Mrs Martin added: "I think it's great for a village of this size to have its own arts festival."
