A NEW art installation has been set up at the Pewsey Vale Campus created by school children.
The large scale artwork is a collaboration between the students of Pewsey Vale School and the children of Pewsey Primary School . The colourful and symbolic creation has as its concept some of the themes of the village and the vale of Pewsey expressed in the form of a tree.
Teacher Sue Philpott said: "The idea of creating a tree with lots of branches was chosen to show how the local community branches out across the Pewsey Vale.
"Students were given images of local landmarks and signs that that they used to create small oil pastel mono prints as well as using a range of collage materials to make artwork that represents the four seasons."
The students gave up free time after school to piece the collage together taking ownership of individual leaves on the branches.
Tomorrow (Friday) Pewsey Vale School has their annual exhibition of GCSE Art and Textiles at the Pewsey Vale Campus.
