FORTY-SEVEN-year-old Peter Balcombe looked on intently as Mr Justice Wynne-Williams gave his final summing up at Bristol Crown Court this morning.
The judge took an hour to sum up pertinent aspects of the case for the jury of eight men and four women to consider before he sent them out.
The judge told the jury they could find Balcombe guilty of murdering his wife Eunice on December 21 last year at their home in Stratton Road in Pewsey, or they could return a verdict of manslaughter.
