TIRED of charity walks and cake sales, Calne fundraisers set themselves the ultimate challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer awareness -pole dancing.
The group of 25 to 50-year-olds raised more than £1,500 in a pole dancing marathon.
Volunteers danced for eight hours and were trained teacher Christine Davis, who used to work at Foxies Gentleman's Club in Swindon.
Organisers Louise Gorry and Julie DeBoer, who run the Break Through Breast Cancer in Calne, were exhausted but happy after the challenge.
Ms Gorry said: I really wanted to say a big thank you to all who took part and to Chrissy for teaching us."
