I have been looking for a reaction from my players for the last few games but as long as we win the mini league at the bottom end of the table and take as many points as we can from the top, we will finish in the top six.

But right now we are playing seventh place hockey, maybe even eighth-placed.

It is not just down to the preparation or the organisation it can come down to the mindset of the players.

We have brought good Brits into the club and once the imports settle, which they are continuing to do all the time, we will start firing.

We didn't play well on Saturday in the 6-5 win over Chelmsford I don't think you can call them harsh words but a few home truths were said.

It was a terrible start and we played pretty well for 25 minutes so it was a mixed bag. Chelmsford had beaten all the top teams in the division so the players were not taken them lightly.

The front line scored three of the six goals which is pleasing and if we can get them to do that every time then we will be in a lot more games.

If we were not good enough it would be worrying, but we are and it is just silly mistakes and bad starts which are costing us.

I'm looking for the players to be switched on from the start in the double header with Milton Keynes Lighting this weekend.

They are the best team in hockey at the moment and are a brilliant team but I will be looking for us not to be 3-0 down within ten minutes like we have been in three games this season.

Espec-ially at home because the fans deserve better.

I don't usually pay attention to what they do during the game because I am so wrapped up in what is happening on the ice.

But I should imagine they were thinking the same as me, what the hell is going on?' after we went 3-0 down so quickly.

Once we started scoring goals they got behind us, and that is what we want to see.
