Wildcats coach Peter Russell is hoping his side can strike twice this weekend when they meet Milton Keynes Lightning in an EPL double-header.
Russell watched Swindon recover from a three-goal deficit to beat Chelmsford Chieftains 6-5 on Saturday, and secure a first win of the season on home ice.
With unbeaten Milton Keynes due at the Link Centre tomorrow (face-off 5.45pm), the Wildcats coach is demanding a similar level of spirit and determination from his roster.
He said: "We may be playing the form team in the country but we have nothing to fear.
"Swindon always seem to do well against the top teams.
"It's the bottom teams where we sometimes struggle because there is added pressure and expectation.
"Saturday was one of the worst games we have played this season but we still came away with the win, and that's the most important thing.
"I said last week I would take a scrappy performance as long as we finished the game on top, and that is exactly what happened.
"I remember looking at the results before I came here and Swindon would probably have folded after going 3-0 down.
"But we proved against Chelmsford that we are a side that is never going to give up, no matter what the score."
Russell admits Saturday's thrilling comeback win has lifted a weight off his shoulders, with Swindon now sitting comfortably in mid-table.
Milton Keynes have conceded just six goals in four EPL outings so far, and Russell knows a double victory this weekend could kick-start Wildcats season.
He said: "If you look at our fixture list it has been loaded with difficult matches so things should get a little easier after Milton Keynes.
"They are a very, very good side. They have some really good imports so we'll just have to see what happens.
"We will have to keep it very tight in defence and try to play a smart game of hockey."
