Cottage fire
CHIPPENHAM: Fire crews put out a fire in a cottage in Sheldon On Monday morning (April 1) The chimney fire was attended by crews form Chippenham fire station, who put out the fire after 45 minutes.
Tractor destroyed
CHIPPENHAM: A tractor was destroyed by a fire on Monday (April 1) Two crews attended the fire at the farming equipment in a field off Stanton Lane in Kington St Michael and was extinguished using a dry powder extinguisher however the tractor was completely destroyed.
Abbey shop hit
LACOCK: Two men, a woman and very young children were seen to enter the National Trust shop at the Abbey last Wednesday and steal a number of items.
Drunken girls
CHIPPENHAM: Two teenage girls will appear before magistrates in Swindon on May 1, charged with being drunk and disorderly in Wood Lane in March 25. One is also charged with assaulting a police officer.
Unshaven thief
CORSHAM: A thief stole boxes of men’s aftershave and razor blades, from the Co-op store in the Martingate Centre on March 28.
Van seized
Calne: A white Renault van was seized by police in New Road, last Thursday as it had no road fund tax.
