STAFF at a garden store have made a dream come true for Sherston toddlers - by helping them create a new garden.
Homebase in Chipp-enham were approached by Sherston pre-school which was seeking a discount on some plants for a new garden area.
But store manager Matt Presse refused to offer a discount - instead agreeing to donate the plants needed for the garden.
A team of four members of staff spent several hours at the nursery planting bedding plants and shrubs for the excited youngsters. They also helped the children plant a Viola plant in a pot, which they then took home with them.
The school is hoping to plant some vegetables in the patch next year.
Kevin Mason, 40, who has worked at Homebase for more than 13 years, said: "It was really nice to help the children with their garden.
"We left space for a vegetable patch in the spring.
"It's the first time we've done anything like this but we are hoping to do it again soon with another school."
