AN Aldbourne woman has been found guilty of cheating Kennet District Council of more than £2,000 of benefit.
Emma Lane, of West Street, had pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Kennet magistrates in Devizes on Monday.
The court heard that Miss Lane had received a total of £2,072 in housing and council tax benefit despite having started work at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs.
