A large quantity of cash was stolen after a cash machine was broken into in Chippenham in the early hours of this morning (September 21)
Around 4.20am, suspects forced their way in to the ATM at the Tesco Express on Hungerdown Lane and made off with a quantity of cash.
A black Audi was spotted near the scene at the time, and a member of the public was seen walking nearby who could be a key witness.
Detective Sergeant Garry Epps said: "We're especially keen to speak to the person who was walking by around this time who may be a vital witness and be able to give us more information to this incident. If that was you, please come forward.
"Also, I would appeal to anyone else who may be able to help us to contact me at CID. Perhaps you saw a black car driving fast or suspiciously around this time."
Anyone with information can contact Wiltshire CID on 101, quoting crime reference number 54180089157, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
