DEVIZES lost the battle of the bottom two as they slipped deeper into relegation trouble - but captain Mark Banham is refusing to panic.
Bottom of the table Nationwide House dominated Saturday's game to keep within touching distance of Devizes in the Wiltshire Division relegation dogfight.
"We cannot afford to panic, we need to sit down, get back on the level and set our sights for the next three games," said Banham, who takes his side to in-form Westinghouse on Saturday.
"We need to win one game and if we don't then we leave our future up to other teams, which is an unsatisfactory situation."
Former skipper Richard Wright (4-21), Jon Couch (3-44), Pat Legge (2-50) and Owen Burgess (1-18) had restricted the hosts to a reachable target of 195 but after Sri Lankan dangerman Nipuna Rathnayake was trapped lbw for 0, the visitors crumbled.
Wright (24), Legge (21) and Andy Hodder (25) were the only players to make double figures.
"We had every opportunity to improve our position and failed to take it," said a deflated Banham "We didn't bowl as well as we have done in the last few weeks and let them get too many runs to get away from us.
"We just didn't do our jobs and never really got started.
"Andy and Pat really helped the middle order but by the time they got in, winning the game was already beyond them."
