FOLLOWING this week's story about Tony Trotman being dragged into a row about a councillor's anti-Israel tweets, the Calne mayor has issued an official statement.
Coun Trotman was accused of failing to act upon complaints of an ex-Labour councillor's tweets calling for Israelis to be 'culled.'
After reading the article, he said: "Anti-Semitism is completely unacceptable and has no place in society.
"The matter has been referred to the Monitoring Office."
