THE youngest football team at Devizes School is celebrating triple success after taking the Year 7 County Cup at a tournament in Chippenham and will now play in a national competition.
The latest success of the U12 boys means they are now winners of the Wiltshire League, Wiltshire League Cup and the Wiltshire County Cup.
PE teacher Blake Raymond was delighted by their success. He said: "Having qualified for the Wiltshire County Cup the previous evening after a battling 2-0 winning performance against Wyvern College, the Devizes U12 football team faced Wootton Bassett at Stanley Park in the final of the County Cup.
"This came off a high from two weeks earlier where Devizes had beaten Kingdown School 4-2 after extra time in the Wiltshire League Cup."
The boys ran out 2-1 winners after Wootton Bassett had led 1-0 at half time. Dominic and Archie scored the Devizes goals.
