AFTER a four game unbeaten run, Westinghouse skipper Steve Coombs has set his side the target of a top four finish.
The rare draw with Lechlade on Saturday brought to an end their stretch of three consecutive wins and Coombs believes his team, who are currently fifth, can gatecrash the top.
"We are only 28 points off second place and a good win is 25 points so it is not beyond the realms of possibility," he said.
"I would be happy with the top four and we have definitely got the players to do it."
Impressive bowling performances against Lechlade from Jon Cleverly (5-40), Paul Bailey (3-47), Christian Fry (1-42) and Coombs (1-31) gave them a chance to achieve the captain's goal.
"From last week's worst performance of the season (in the win over Nationwide House) to the best, it was a 100 per cent improvement," said Coombs.
"We got 14 points each, which is almost like a bad win, and we were happy with it. Overall it was a fair reflection on the game."
In reply South African Nico Genade hit 27 with Sam Dix top scoring with 50 and skipper Coombs hitting 26.
Dix was out with his side needing two runs to win and then number 11 Phil Meek (0) was bowled as he tried to win the game.
Coombs takes his side to Malmesbury on Saturday but will be without his vice captain Fry and batsman Dix.
He said: "The guys who are coming in are doing the job, if they are not contributing with the bat then they are fielding well."
